Emerging Dimensions of Blockchain Technology

Abstract: Digital scientists have classified technological developments in ‘Industry 4.0’ era into two major groups. The first one is ushering in foundational transformations of economy and society affirmatively impacting all. The other one is of ‘destruptive’ nature ‘innoventively’ reengineering systems and processes for conducting business and governmental operations. One of such technologies is Blockchain interestingly having major fundamental attributes of both the groups. It is evolving with a deep sense of labor-pain for achieving quantum leap in economic value additions for inclusive growth of humanity. However, there are some misgivings about this very powerful technology.

In this research paper various use cases and evolving dimensions of Blockchain technology have been recounted with needful narratives. Attempts have been made to demystify myths about this technology and refute the misgivings. Risks and challenges for implementing Blockchain have been ideated. Certain directional guidelines have been set for digital scientists to keep in view while building solutions for services to humanity and inclusive smile.
