Prof. Javaid Akhtar

Joined back the Department of Business Administration on 4th July 2018 after serving as Registrar AMU Aligarh
Was awarded Gold Medal of B.Com (Hons) AMU in the year 1979, First Class MBA of 1981 and PhD from AMU in Management, attended special programme in teaching at IIM Ahmedabad (FDP-IIM-A)

Worked in Tourism Industry as Asst Manager Accounts and Manager Operations from 1981 to 1984.

Joined AMU as Lecturer in 1984, promoted to Senior Lecturer in 1989 and as Reader in 1991. Have been working as Professor since February 1999. Areas of teaching and research are accounting, finance and management of services.

Have successfully supervised 43 PhD theses so far, 05 candidates have submitted and four are under various stages of evaluation and 05 research scholars are actively working.

Authored three books and many papers.

Academic Administration includes three years term as Chairman, six years as Dean and over two years of Controller of Examinations and 2 years as Registrar at Aligarh Muslim University Aligarh.

Managerial achievements include serving on the Board as Independent Director of Maharatna steel giant of the country' Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) for three years.

Also served as Member Zonal Advisory Board (NCZ) of major insurance player of the country LIC India.

Have been serving at National Level in the field of Higher Education through various statutory bodies of the government of India. Have assessed and accredited over 70 institutions of higher learning including top class Universities of the country.

Currently serving as full time Prof of Business Administration at AMU Aligarh.

Parvaiz Talib

Professor, Aligarh Muslim University

I hold MBA and Ph.D in the area of Stress Management. I have teaching experience of more than 30 years. My research interests are in the field of Stress Management, Strategy, CSR and HRM. I have guided as many as 27 PhDs till date. I have published papers in national and international journals such as Vikalpa, Indian Police Journal and International Journal of Logistics Systems & Management. My popular articles have appeared in Times of India as well. My special interest is in Counseling and Guidance of students. I train students, young teachers and corporate professionals in Communication Skills and Personality Development. I coordinated a prestigious project of Management Complex (worth 18 Crore) in AMU, built through Donors' support. This facility is now the new home of Department of Business Administration and Faculty of Management. Presently I am member of University's Executive Council in my capacity as senior most Dean. I am also shouldering the responsibility of Chairperson, Department of Business Administration.

Dr Rajan Saxena

Chairperson, AIMA Case Research Center & Vice Chancellor & Distinguished
Professor Narsee Monjee Institute of Management (NMIMS)

Dr Rajan Saxena is Vice Chancellor Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) (Deemed-to-be-University) and former Director of IIM, Indore, S.P Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai and Dean of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai.

Dr Saxena had held Vice Chancellor position since 2009. During these two terms of his, NMIMs has been accredited by NAAC in the 3rd cycle at A+ level. Dr Saxena took over as Director IIM Indore in 1999. It was during his tenure that the institute resolved land issue and moved of in its Campus at Rau. Also the institution emerged as one of the top 10 management institutions of India.

Another significant contribution of his in the institution building is the establishment of India Case Research Centre in the aegis of AIMA. He alongwith the team from AIMA-CME conceptualized the Centre. He continues to guide the Centre.

He has over 46 years of professional experience in management education, research, consulting and institution building. He is an alumnus of Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi. He did Ph.D work at Delhi School of Economics in marketing arena and was awarded the degree by Delhi University. He has taught at XLRI - Jamshedpur, S.P Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai, IIM Calcutta, IIM Indore, NMIMS, University of Calgary, Canada, University of Sterling, U.K and Pace University, New York, USA.

Dr Saxena's teaching & research are Marketing Strategy, Service Marketing & Customer Relationship Management

He has been conferred several awards by different organizations and media. Some of these are Bombay Management Association's Best Teacher of Management in 1990. Best Marketing Teacher in 1998, Shri Ram College of Commerce's Distinguish Alumnus in 2002 and many more Higher Education Forum, Dr Suresh Ghai Memorial Award for the outstanding contribution to Management Leadership in 2013. ET NOW 'Visionary Leadership' Award for the outstanding contribution to Management Leadership Award by Forum for Emotional Intelligence Learning (FEIL). Rotary Club Vocational Excellence Award 2018.

He is a Fellow of the Indian Society for Training & Development and Institute of Management Consultants of India.

Prof J K Mitra

Lecturer, Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi

An Organizational psychologist by training Prof J K Mitra has a brilliant academic background including University Gold Medal, national Scholarship, All India Research Fellowship etc. in 1978, he earned his Ph.D in Management for his doctoral research on Impact of Technological Changes on Managerial Identity and was the first recipient of Young Scientist Award for his unique research on Climate for creativity in Organization. Under the invitation of the European Foundation fro Management Development, Professor Mitra has taught in different business schools in Europe as a visiting professor (1992-93).

Prof Mitra joined Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi decades ago and played his role in building up FMS as Director, Centre for Applied Behavioural Science Studies and Action Research, Professor-in-charge of Public Systems Management in Shanti Prasad Jain Advanced Management Research Centre and as Head & Dean of FMS (2006-09), and continuous as Full-time Professor. Many of his students now head various institutions around the world and practice some of his innovative ideas. In recognition to his vast experience in institution building, Prof Mitra serves as Chairman or Member in apex committees of various regulatory bodies and associations.

In 2011-12 Professor Mitra has served in various committees of University Grants Commission (UGC), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), National Bureau of Accreditation (NBA), All India Management Association (AIMA), Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), Indian Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), etc. His expertise is utilized by various committees for selecting Senior Administration. Executives and Faculty Members for various institutions. He is also in the Editorial Advisory Board of "Indian Management".

Prof Mitra is one of the most experienced consultants in the area of Strategic Management and Trainer in the area of Organisation Development. He has conducted hundreds of workshops for a large number of Transnational, Indian Private Sector and Public Sector organizations many of which has been conducted First International Research Workshop on "Vedic Foundation of Indian Management" as Yog Gram Hardwar from 19th to 21st April 2012.

He loves his hob as Professor, enjoys his role as a facilitator of interpersonal and group process in entrepreneurial endeavors, and is passionate in rejuvenating old institutions.

Dr. Ganesh Singh

Dr. Ganesh Singh is Professor and Programme Director - Foundation Course, AIMA-AMU PhD Programme at All India Management Association - Centre for Management Education (AIMA CME). He has extensive experience in teaching, research, training and consultancy in the field of Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management. He has contributed and reviewed a no. of papers in journals and conferences of national and international repute. His current training, consulting and research interests are in the areas of Motivational Behaviour, Emotional Intelligence, Stress and Coping, Managerial Effectiveness, Leadership Development, Talent Management, Human Resource Assessment, Management across Culture and Comparative Human Resource Management. He has designed, developed & delivered numerous training programmes in the field of Human Resource Development. He has participated in International Teachers Programme (ITP) - 2015 organized by the International Schools of Business Management (ISBM) at China Europe International Business School at Beijing & Shanghai. He has also served on the NIPM jury for National Award for Best HR Practices. He was previously associated with IILM Graduate School of Management, a reputed B-School in NCR Delhi as Associate Professor & Area Chairperson - HR & OB.

Dr. Gurbandini Kaur

Gurbandini Kaur Professor of Economics is actively involved in academics and research from several years in various disciplines of Management and Economics. Her core area is Business Economics and Policy. In order to bridge the gap between Industry and Academia, she has written several research paper on the common interest of both as well as on emerging issues concerning to government policy and social welfare, vis- a vis WTO and Pharmaceutical Industry, Changing role of FDI in India, Knowledge Economy, Service driven growth, Mergers and Acquisition issue etc. She has also presented papers and participated in various national and international seminars.

Dr. Ritesh Saxena

Dr. Ritesh Saxena is a PhD. in Business Studies with over 12 years experience in teaching and research in the area of applied information technology. He has also worked in corporate for 2 years in Software Development. Dr Saxena has also contributed a number of research papers in conference and journals of national and international repute. He has contributed a Block comprising of 4 different units on Information Technology in a Self-Learning Material of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi. Dr. Ritesh has also authored Case Studies on IT strategies of an IT Company and success story of Gujarat Tourism Corporation, Govt. of Gujarat.

He is actively involved in teaching and consultancy projects in different management areas, He has also developed the National Occupational Standard of Computer and IT Skills for entry level manages. Ritesh has done a number of trainings for IT Skills under IT and ITeS Sector Skills Council (NASSCOM). He has also conducted Awareness and Training programmes for MSMEs' on "Zero Effect Zero Defect" (ZED) Model as a certified ZED Trainer

Currently, he is the Controller of Examinations at AIMA-Centre for Management Education handling examinations for AICTE approved Post graduate diploma programs at PAN India level.

He was previously associated with IILM Graduate School of Management, a reputed B-School in NCR Delhi as Assistant Professor (IT) & Head, IT.

Prof Amit Bhatnagar

Prof. Amit Bhatnagar is a graduate from Delhi University and had pursued MBA from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies (specialization in Marketing), Masters of Marketing Management from Annamalai University and Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from D.A.V Institute of Management Studies. He has 14 years of corporate experience in Sales & Marketing in consumer durable industry viz. Birla Tyres, Eureka Forbes, Usha International and Bajaj Electricals Ltd. and 4 years in academics in teaching Sales and Marketing Management.

Research paper titled "Is marketing important or sales or vice-versa" is selected for presentation and publication in International conference on Economics and Business, organized by University of Houston Downtown and Can Tho university, Vietnam. Also developed a Case study on Gujarat Tourism for Gujarat Tourism Corporation limited.
